A Beautiful Late Afternoon Wedding At Didsbury House Hotel
There are some real hidden gems when it comes to wedding venues in and around Greater Manchester, and Didsbury House Hotel is definitely on the list as a beautiful Victorian townhouse with a unique and quirky style. Didsbury House Hotel wedding photography is always a pleasure to shoot and we are always spoilt for choice when it comes to portraits, we have the gorgeous hotel interior to use with its grand staircase and we can also use the local Fletcher Moss Gardens with its vast tree-lined lanes and botanical gardens.
I was thrilled when Megan & Jade got in touch for their wedding and hearing all about their ideas for a twilight ceremony and unconventional plans, I was excited to be involved. Getting married in November can always be a bit of gamble with the weather and of course, the light can fade rather dramatically around 4pm. But with a good deal of flexibility and forward planning, Megan and Jade had an awesome day.
First Look And Pre Ceremony Portraits
Both Megan & Jade spent the early afternoon at the venue getting dressed with their family and the bridal party which was ace as I got to spend a little time with them both before the ceremony. Once they were both dressed and ready, they decided to break with tradition and have what couples in America call a ‘First Look’ where they meet up pre-ceremony and say hi. It was a fantastic moment to capture for them both and something that British couples should definitely embrace more often. Again breaking with tradition, Megan & Jade had planned in some time for portraits before their ceremony and we jumped in the car for a quick drive over to Fletcher Moss Gardens.

Heading back to the hotel for a quick refresh, the couple spent a little time with their families before the wedding ceremony. Soon all the guests were ushered into the Blue Lounge and Jade was walked down the aisle followed by Megan. After a lovely ceremony, the couple completed the formal part of their day and walked back up the aisle as a married couple.
A Gold Lounge Drinks Reception
Megan & Jade spent some lovely time with their guests, enjoying hugs and kisses of congratulations and a round of speeches from the couple and their family. Before settling back down for a delicious meal in the beautifully decorated Blue Lounge.
An Evening Of Partying With Chicks With Decks
After dinner, the couple enjoyed some time with their guests before enjoying an informal bit of fun with sparklers and rather than a formal first dance, they just partied with the family and friends.
So a massive thanks and congratulations to Megan & Jade, I had an amazing time with you both as your Didsbury House Hotel Wedding Photographer.
