A gorgeous autumnal wedding at Mottram Hall

On Saturday, I spent a wonderful day with Laura & Karl. They gathered with their family and friends, who had travelled far and wide, to celebrate their wedding. This was my first real wedding of the autumn season and being the Great British Isles, the weather wasn’t entirely on our side. However Mottram Hall is a great venue for weddings in all seasons and weather, all you have to do it get a little more creative.

I started the day with Laura, she spent a relaxed morning in the Cheshire Suite with her family and bridal party. Her stylist & MUA team were on hand to ensure that the girls looked amazing and ready for the day ahead. The guys looked equally as good when I met up with them for a few portraits before the ceremony.

Candlelit wedding ceremony

Their guests were soon gathered in the St Andrews Suite for their candle lit ceremony. The bridal party entered the room followed by Laura and her very proud dad who walked her down the aisle to meet Karl. After a lovely ceremony filled with much laughter and a few tears, the couple completed the formal part of their day before exiting the room as man and wife. Their guests soon joined them in the Garden Room for their drinks reception and lots of cuddles of congratulations. We also paused for a few family groups and some portraits around the inside of the stunning hall.

The Electric wedding band

After a round of speeches and a delicious meal, the guests spent a relaxed evening chatting and laughing before the party really began. Laura & Karl had trusted the evenings entertainment with their wedding band The Electric and they certainly didn’t disappoint. They played the couple into their first dance and an amazing set well into the rest of the night.

So what an amazing day! Huge congratulations to Laura & Karl, I had an amazing day with you, your family and friends, thanks so much for having me with your as your photographer!
