An Elegant Christmas Wedding At Eaves Hall
The stunning Eaves Hall is one of those wedding venues that looks amazing in all seasons and weather. The Georgian mansion has a splendid architectural style with lush tiered gardens and surrounded by the Ribble Valley countryside. Inside, the mansion has been carefully restored and decorated to bring a modern and unique feel but retaining the splendor of a manor house. It’s always a pleasure to take Eaves Hall Wedding Photos!
Joanne & Scott had chosen a magical time of year to get married at this amazing venue, Christmas!! Traveling North to Clitheroe at this time of year can always be interesting with the seasonal weather and possibility of snow, but I made it up there with success to join Joanne and her girls for a morning of exciting preparations! I had a little time to join Scott and his guys down in the Snooker Room as they got ready, had a beer and chatted about the day ahead.
A Grand Dining Room Wedding Ceremony
Joanne was soon ready with the help of her family and bridal party and she shared a very special (and tearful) moment as her dad saw her for the first time. Although Scott looked calm and collected in the ceremony room, there was a great deal of excitement as Joanne entered the room and walked down the aisle. After a lovely ceremony filled with much laughter and a few tears, the couple signed their register and made their way out into their drinks reception.
Couple Portraits In The Wintery Eaves Hall Gardens
Making their way into the snug, the guests enjoyed mulled wine and greeted the couple with warm hugs of congratulations. It was during this time that I took Joanne and Scott for a wander around the wintery gardens and hidden walkways of Eaves Hall for some couple portraits. There are a number of amazing locations to visit for portraits, the front of the hall is always my first stop with the majestic mansion frontage. We then wandered down the staircase and into the tree-lined walkways which take you down into the thicker more wooded area. Looping around brings you back up to the back lawn and left side of the hall, all the while shooting loads of natural portraits of two people having the best day ever!
An Eaves Hall Wedding Breakfast In The Dining Room
The guests were soon called for dinner and took their places for the wedding breakfast in the main dining room. Joanne & Scott had themed their tables on well known and loved Christmas films, wintery sparkles, and mini pulling crackers. After a delicious meal and a hilarious (and slightly x-rated) round of speeches, I grabbed the couple for a few portraits in the dark before their evening guests arrived and all the hugs of congratulations started again.
A Fantastic Evening Party At Eaves Hall
I spent some of the evening wandering around the hall capturing the relaxed and fun-loving atmosphere before the party began. Joanne & Scott soon cut their amazing wedding cake and took to the dance floor to perform their amazing first dance, Scott throwing Joanne around like a true professional. They were soon joined by family and friends who spent the rest of the night laughing, dancing and having a ball.
So what a fantastic day! Huge congratulations to Joanne & Carl, I had an amazing day with you, your family and friends, thanks so much for having me with you as your Eaves Hall Wedding Photographer!
