Colshaw Hall Wedding Photos
This weekend saw the hottest day of 2023 so far and I was at the amazingly beautiful Colshaw Hall for the wedding of Meghan & Christie. I was properly looking forward to spending the day with these guys and from their pre-wedding planning chats, I knew it was going to be a fantastic wedding with their family and friends. They had some very cool things planned and the logistics of two brides getting ready, whilst tricky, were executed perfectly with the help of their amazing bridal party.
Meghan is a research scientist and Christie is the captain of Birmingham City FC alongside playing internationally for Scottland so their friends and bridal party were a great mix of sportspersons and extremely talented academics, they also knew how to party! The morning preparations really flew by in a mix of makeup, toasts of fizz, and good laughter. The ceremony was very heartfelt, with each bride enjoying their own personal walk down the aisle before being greeted by their special guest and ring bearer Shandy the Labradoodle.
Drinks Next To The Peel Suite
After the ceremony and confetti exit, the couple led their guests over to the walled garden for drinks, cuddles, and a quick selection of family groups. I then took the bridal party into the grounds of Colshaw for some more fun photos together which I think they really enjoyed! Soon it was time for dinner and the bridal party took center stage for a special entrance armed with bottles of Tequila, salt, and limes to get the party started!
Dinner and speeches followed before everyone enjoyed an evening in the sunshine, I took Meghan & Christie for another quick wander in the golden evening sun before their party began. Another excellent bridal party entrance (with Tequila of course!) started their party off and the couple took to the floor for their first dance before being joined by all their guests for a fantastic evening of dancing!
As always, a massive shout out to the brilliant team at Colshaw Hall and Toastmaster Jason who made the day run perfectly. A Massive Congratulations to Meghan & Christie for having me with them, all the very best to you both!
ABOUT COLSHAW HALL
Colshaw Hall is a large house in Peover Superior, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The house was built in 1903 and designed by the Chester architects Douglas and Minshull. It is constructed in red brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two stories plus an attic. Its architectural style is Tudor Revival. It was extended and altered by Percy Worthington in 1907.
David Irlam, of the haulage company James Irlam and Co bought the Hall in the 1990s, laid the grounds to pasture, converted some of the outbuildings into residential accommodation for members of his family, and returned the house into a family home, in a condition as near as possible to its original state.
