A Christmas Eve Eve Wedding at Mottram Hall
It’s always a pleasure to shoot at one of my very favourite wedding venues, the gorgeous Mottram Hall in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. It’s even more of a pleasure to shoot in good winter weather and with an equally lovely couple, Kathryn & Oliver were that couple.
I was lucky enough to spend a little time with both the bride and groom in the morning. Capturing a little of the preparations, the dressing, the lighthearted moments and a little of the nerves too. Kathryn & Oliver enjoyed a romantic ceremony in the St Andrews suite before making their way to the Garden Room and out on to the patio for their drinks receptions with family and friends.
Relaxed portraits around the Hall
After some family groups, we wandered around the front of the Hall for some relaxed portraits in the setting sun. With dinner on the horizon, the couple spent some time with their friends before being welcomed into their wedding breakfast. After a delicious meal and a round of speeches, the couple retired back to the Garden room and relaxed into the evening.
An Evening Party In The St Andrews Suite
Once their evening party was ready, the DJ welcomed the couple on to the floor. It was for their first dance as man and wife. This was just before the couple were mobbed by family and friends. Kathryn was then treated to a well-choreographed dance routine from Oliver and his best men. This was much to the delight of their wedding guests.
So a Massive Congratulations to Kathryn & Oliver, it’s been a pleasure to get to know you both and join you on your wedding day. Thanks so much for having me as your photographer!!
