Fisherman’s Retreat Wedding Photography

Friday saw me head over into the Twine Valley at the edge of the Pennine hills to spend the day with this lovely pair, Kim & Richard. They would be gathering with their family and friends to celebrate their wedding at The Fisherman’s Retreat, a family-run restaurant catering for nearby trout fisheries, hence the name.

Kim spent the morning at their home in Rossendale with her bridesmaids and family. Cards and gifts were opened, champaign was drunk and bacon sandwiches were eaten in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Richard was already at the wedding venue when I arrived, he was greeting family before they took their seats for the ceremony. Kim arrived a short time after and was walked down the aisle by her brother. After the formal part of their day was complete, the couple made their way down to the Nuttall Room for their drinks reception and congratulatory hugs from their guests.

A Valley Suite Wedding Breakfast

After some family groups on the patio, we had a wander down to the lake for some portraits with the beautiful Twine Valley hills all around us. Dinner was soon ready and Master of Ceremonies Robin from DFC Lancashire welcomed the bridal party into the room before a round of applause erupted for Kim & Richard as they took their place for their wedding breakfast. After a delicious meal and an excellent round of speeches, the couple spent a relaxing evening chatting and welcoming their evening guests to the party.

Kim & Richard soon cut their amazing wedding cake and took to the dance floor to perform their first dance. They were soon joined by family and friends who spent the rest of the night laughing, dancing and having a ball. So a HUGE Congratulations to Kim & Richard, thanks so much for having me as your wedding photographer. I had an excellent day with you all and I wish you all the very best for your future together!
