Hallmark Hotel Wedding Photographer
Last week I spent a baking hot Friday with a really awesome bunch of people, clients past and future and even the excellent Toastmaster David Ruane, AKA Uncle Dave!
I started the day with Sam the most chilled out and relaxed bride-to-be ever, her friends and bridesmaids as she prepared herself for the day ahead. I spent the first hour or so carefully shooting the details of what Sam would be wearing, I then moved into a documentary mode and tried to blend in capturing the goings-on as everyone got ready, something that’s not easy if you’re not a girl or don’t have pink hair!
As Sam was set to leave, I raced ahead to meet Andy at St Marys Church, as he cooly waited with his groomsmen and greeted the couple’s guests. After an awesome service with highlights that included a touch of nerves and ceremonial improvisation from Andy, everyone nearly melting from the heat and Sam’s BFF Geoffrey making a new friend as he signed the register, the couple made their way to the Hallmark Hotel in Handforth.

The couple then spent the afternoon in the sunshine with their family and friends, we interspersed this with some family formals and some gorgeous portraits in the gardens around the hotel. After the couple sat for their wedding breakfast, everyone enjoyed a round of very emotional speeches finishing with an excellent ‘This Is Your Life’ rendition from the best man Tom.
The evening slowly rolled on with they couple’s evening guests arriving and enjoying the evening sunshine before making their way inside for the couple’s first dance and a good bit of partying with also included a YMCA performance from Andy and his groomsmen. Tom the best man then mentioned that he had some cigars so we managed to round up the guys for some cool shots as they enjoyed a Hamlet. I then shot some really lovely final portraits of the couple before they joined their family and friends for the rest of their party.
Thanks so much to Sam & Andy for a really amazing day, I had a great time with you all and want to Thank You for having me with you!
