Mere Court Hotel Wedding Photography
On Saturday, I travelled into the depths of Cheshire to spend the day with Maxine & Alex at the gorgeous Mere Court Hotel. Maxine, her family and bridesmaids were already up and buzzing with excitement when I arrived in the grand Presidential Suite (made famous by hosting Bill Clinton himself). After shooting the wonderful dress and some details of Maxine’s outfit, I settled into documentary mode and just watched from the fringes of the action. On hand to shoot vision and sound was Michael from Satin Pictures who is always a pleasure to work with and I throughly recommend.
Alex soon arrived with his groomsmen, so we had a wander into the gardens for some informal portraits before leaving him to greet the couples family and friends. Soon after, Maxine was buttoned into her amazing Mark Lesley gown and we paused for some portraits before the shot stroll downstairs to the oak-panelled Arboretum Room. After a ceremony filled with laughter and a few tears, the newly married couple exited to a storm of confetti before enjoying their drinks reception with their family and friends. It was during this time that we paused for some family groups before wandering the gardens with Maxine & Alex for some natural and relaxed portraits.
Weddings At The Mere Court Hotel
Soon after and once all their guests were convened within the beautifully decorated conservatory, Maxine and Alex were welcomed into their wedding breakfast. Once everyone was seated, the guests were treated to an unexpected musical treat courtesy of the excellent Opera Boys who serenaded the room with some classic opera and upbeat show tunes. After dinner and a round of speeches, the guests relaxed in the bar area before their evening party began. I took the chance to steal the couple away for a few portraits in the dark before they returned to enjoy their evening celebrations.
Maxine & Alex soon cut their amazing wedding cake and took to the dance floor to perform their expertly choreographed first dance. They were soon joined by family and friends who spent the rest of the night laughing, dancing and having a ball. So a HUGE Congratulations to Maxine & Alex, thanks so much for having me as your photographer. I had an excellent day with you all and I wish you all the very best for your future together!
