Mitton Hall Wedding Photography
On Thursday, I ventured into the beautiful Ribble Valley for my very first visit to the stunning Mitton Hall and spend the day with Ashleigh & Neil. I first met Ashleigh & Neil after very kindly being recommended by their work colleagues Jenna & Alec who’s wedding I shot last year. After hearing their plans for the day, I knew that it was going to be pretty amazing and I wasn’t disappointed!
I started the day at Mitton with Ashleigh who was in her suite with her family and friends, Gemma from Doll Face MUA was on hand to make sure that everyone was preened and perfected for the day ahead. I spent a little time exploring the 15th Century manor house, shooting the details of Ashleigh’s outfit and just observing the goings on. Neil soon arrived in his Rolls Royce Phantom, spent a little time greeting their guests and relaxed a little more with his groomsmen.
Once Ashleigh and her bridal party were dressed and gathered in the King Suite, she spent some time with her dad before enjoying a quick spin in the Rolls Royce and arriving back just before the ceremony. Flanked by her very proud dad, Ashleigh then made her way down the isle to a waiting Neil and their family and friends. After completing the formal part of their day, the couple made their way back up the isle and into their waiting Phantom for a little time together.
Arriving back at Mitton Hall, Ashleigh & Neil exited their car to a hail of confetti and into their congratulating arms of the family and friends. We then gathered within the grounds of the hall for some family groups before stealing the couple away for some portraits around the more secluded gardens. Returning to the party soon after, the couple enjoyed a relaxed afternoon in the sunshine before the wedding breakfast.
After their delicious meal, the couple enjoyed a round of speeches before relaxing back in the gardens ready for their party ahead. It was at this point that something very special happened. I remember chatting to one of the bridesmaids Rachel during the prep in the morning, we joked about weddings and she mentioned that she hoped it was her turn next to marry her partner who was also the bestman Paul. Fast forward to the evening, during some evening portraits with Ashleigh & Neil, we saw Rachel & Paul wander into the garden and knowing what was coming I shadowed and got close enough to capture the moment that Paul got down on one knee to propose to Rachel. A truly magical moment!
After a few tears and some more well deserved congratulations, Ashleigh & Neil cut their wedding cake before taking to the floor for their first dance. So a Huge Congratulations goes out to Ashleigh & Neil, thanks so much for having me with you at Mitton Hall, I hope that you enjoyed it just as much as I did. Have an amazing honeymoon!
