Peckforton Castle Wedding Photography

On Saturday I started off my 2017 wedding adventures with Alice and Pete. They spent the day at Peckforton Castle, an amazing grade I listed, 19th century, a medieval-style castle in the Cheshire countryside.

I started the day with Alice and her family at her parent’s house, there was a great sense of excitement in the air as Alice prepared herself for the day ahead and relaxed with her bridesmaids. I captured all the lovely details and the general goings-on of a bride getting ready to be married. Once the dress was on, we had a very emotional grand reveal for her dad and then her bridesmaids before hopping in the car for the ride over to Tarporley.

I then met up with Pete and his groomsmen as they were greeting all their family and friends in the Great Hall. Alice soon arrived and was walked down the aisle by her very proud dad and into the arms of Pete. After a lovely ceremony filled with laugher and a few tears, the couple jumped into their wedding car for the chance to spend a little time together before their drinks reception.

Weddings In Winter

We paused for some portraits around and inside the castle before the couple sat for their wedding breakfast in the amazingly decorated Drawing Room. Alice’s family owns an amazing cake decorating company – Karen Davies Sugarcraft and of course had to make their amazing 6 tier wedding cake. Each tier of the cake was designed to reflect Alice’s gorgeous wedding dress.

After dinner, we wandered the halls of the castle for a few more portraits before the evening party. Once everyone was convened back in the Great Hall, their Master of Ceremonies John Knight drew the sword Excalibur to cut their cake, and then the couple took to the dance floor as man and wife.

So what a way to begin the year, I want to wish Alice & Pete a Huge Congratulations!! I had a great day with you all, thanks so much for having me with you and I hope that you have an amazing honeymoon!
