Peckforton Castle Wedding Photography

On Friday I ventured into the beautiful Cheshire countryside to spend the day with Kirsty & Raul at the stunning Peckforton Castle. Kirsty is a professional make up artist, the owner of Make Up Mobile To You and Raul is a Grime & Rap musician known throughout the UK as Fiascoo. So I was pretty honoured when they asked me to join them for their wedding day.

I started the morning with Kirsty who was staying at the gorgeous Peckforton Lodge with her family and bridesmaids. The atmosphere was calm but with a great deal of excitement bubbling behind the scenes. She was joined by her MUA colleagues who prepared the bridesmaids, then dressed Kirsty so she could have a grand reveal to her very proud dad who didn’t hold back his emotions.

A Great Hall Wedding Ceremony

The Great Hall was expertly decorated by Holly & Natalie from I Do Venue Dressing and Raul was there, greeting the guests and awaiting Kirstys arrival. Walking out of the Hall, I heard the clippety-clop of horseshoes on the tarmac and through the archway came Kirsty in her gorgeous carriage. She then made her way to the great hall with her bridesmaids to make a grand entrance into the ceremony. The bridesmaids entered first, then their eldest boy who pulled his younger brother in a custom-made hand cart and then Kirsty herself made her way down the aisle. After a ceremony filled with happy smiles, emotional readings and a ring bearing owl, the couple made their way out into the sunshine and off for a ride in their carriage.

An Afternoon Party In The Sunshine

The couple and their guests then enjoyed an afternoon of hugs of congratulations, drinks and sweet dessert canapés. We paused for a few family groups before taking Kirsty & Raul for a wander around the grounds of the Castle and into the surrounding woodland. Dinner was soon announced by Ron the Toastmaster and the couple were formally welcomed into their wedding breakfast for a delicious meal. After dinner, a serenade from X Factor singer Laura White and a round of speeches, the couple enjoyed a relaxing evening with their guests before taking to the dance floor to cut their wedding cake with Excalibur and performing their first dance to the delight of their family and friends.

So a HUGE Congratulations to Kirsty & Raul, thanks so much for having me as your photographer. I had an excellent day with you all and I wish you all the very best for your future together!
