1960’s Retro Style Wedding At Sandhole Oak Barn
When you’re the last of three sisters to get married you’ve got to make sure you put on a good shindig. Well that’s exactly what Angela and Craig did on Friday at Sandhole Oak Barn, in a blue and orange 60’s themed extravaganza complete with two weddings cakes, juke box table decorations and two VW campervans as their wedding cars.
Angela looked stunning accompanied by her bridesmaid sisters Hayley and Nicola in a beautiful beaded champagne dress and blue shoes with a bouquet of orange and cream flowers expertly arranged by her own fair hand.
Despite the less than perfect weather the rain held off and the sun shone through for the ceremony where 94 year old Grandad Walter soon had the tears and laughter flowing with his rendition of a favourite poem.
Teacups, Pom poms and Campervan Space Hoppers
The vows said, it was time for the bride and groom to walk back down the aisle together as man and wife under a shower of orange and blue pom poms in true psychedelic style. 9 month old daughter Stella managed to stay awake long enough to watch her mum and dad tie the knot but was just a little bit too young to have a go on the campervan shaped space hoppers best man Lewis and the groomsmen whipped out for the reception.
Although we did get a bit of rain during the reception the heavens held out just long enough to get some beautiful couples portraits in the grounds before it was time to head back in and tuck in to the delicious food by catering company Top Table.
All you need is love
We raised a teacup for the champagne toast, were serenaded by singer Michael Treble who also sang the first dance and then it was time to party the night way and take full advantage of Make It Stand Out’s photobooth, complete of course with 60’s themed props.
With reshaped records as table decorations, a Choccywoccydoodah cake, a campervan cake and a Stella Artois beer can tower the attention to detail at this wedding was incredible.
Wow what a party, congratulations Angela and Craig, thank you for letting me capture your unique day.
