Statham Lodge Wedding Photographer
Rain during the great British summertime, who would have thought it?? Oh well, the rain never spoils a good wedding and it certainly didn’t on Friday when I spent the day with Laura & Jon at Statham Lodge in Lymm.
I began the day with Laura as she got ready at home with her bridesmaids and family. There was tension in the house as Laura’s sister was set to give birth to twins literally at any time, however, the stork must have got lost in the rain clouds and the babes stayed put. After shooting the details of Laura’s outfit for the day and some documentary work of the girls getting ready I left to meet Jon at Statham Lodge.
As the couple celebrated their wedding with a very emotional ceremony in front of their family and friends, the rain gave way to some sun!! So we all raced outside for some family groups, a confetti tornado and some gorgeous portraits of the couple before were welcomed in for their wedding breakfast.
Portraits In The Gardens
After dinner and a round of speeches, we explored this gorgeous Georgian Manor House for some more portraits of the couple before their evening began. Just before the couple took to the floor for their first dance, one of their ushers surprised the couple with a fairly epic Meatloaf rendition, creating a great party atmosphere that lasted through the first dance and well into the night. I then managed to steal the couple away for their awesome final shot under the pagoda in the gardens.
Once again it was great to see some familiar faces of clients past and future, massive congratulations to Laura & Jon, thanks so much for having me with you on your wedding day!
