FAQ’S

the groom getting dressed at Sandhole Oak Barn

PHOTOGRAPHING BOTH PREPARATIONS?

Not a problem! As long as you are no more than a 20-minute drive from one another, I can photograph both your preparations. I would usually meet one of you first and then most of the preparation time is usually spent with the person closest to the ceremony location. I also like to be at the ceremony location 30 minutes before so I can be around to shoot you both arriving there and greeting guests.

Alternatively, there is the option to add on a second photographer for the day. They would shoot your partners preparations in full and then shoot the rest of your day alongside me.

DO YOU DO FAMILY GROUP SHOTS?

Of course! Not every couples wants family group photos, but most do. I understand how important they are to other people. I always keep the atmosphere informal and lighthearted.

We plan the running order in advance of the day and I have mastered shooting these quickly so it doesn’t eat too much into your time relaxing and having fun with family and friends.

10 groups takes approx 20 minutes.

DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY, WHAT’S THAT?

It’s a mindset of how I would approach your wedding day. If a moment is captured, without stopping, posing, or any interaction from myself, then that photo will have genuine sentimental value to you.

Even couple portraits, whilst creative and fun, are very natural and relaxed.

So for 90% of the entire day, to photograph in a documentary style, I need you to forget I am there, just enjoy your day and let events flow naturally.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

As far as I am needed. Half my weddings are in Manchester, Cheshire and the north-west, the other half are up and down the country, including Scotland, Wales and London.

Travel within the North of England is included within my Late Night Collection Package but for locations over 2 hours of travel, I request a night before stay is added on so I am fresh for the wedding day.

I am also available for destination weddings with experience in Italy, Spain & Cyprus. Although I am a wedding photographer based in Cheshire, I travel anywhere in the world.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

It depends on how many weddings I have photographed just before yours, but it usually takes between 6 and 12 weeks.

Around 6 weeks for November to May weddings, then around 12 weeks maximum for June to October weddings. Although I always strive to finish your collection as soon as I can.

I always send over a small collection of preview images within 24/48 hours so you will be able to share these professional photos with the world.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?

There is no limit to the number of photos you will receive, usually it is at least 500 but depending on the events of the wedding day it could be 1000+.

Each image will be fully edited to the highest possible standard and consistent with the look of the photos you can see on here on my website.

How do we book?

Ah the best part! To secure your date I request a £350 booking fee. This becomes non refundable after 14 days but can be transferable to another date if needed. It secures my services for that day and all other business is turned away.

In advance, I send over some pre contract information for you to look through and if you’re happy you can make the payment to book.

I will then send over a contract for you to sign and some more information on what happens next.

Everything is kept really simple and open with nothing hidden.

CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS?

Absolutely! You receive all fully edited images via a personalised online gallery with digital download and printing permissions to use.

Share the gallery link with anyone anywhere in the world and they will be able to view your wedding day photos. This gallery is online and available indefinitely.

The gallery also has a print shop built into is which allows you and your guests to purchase printed products if you wish. I also run special offers throughout the year.
